Standard Life Investments, the global investment manager, highlights the third anniversary (16th January) of its Global Equity Income OEIC which ranks 2nd in the IA Global Equity Income Sector and has returned 49.3%* to investors versus the sector average return of 39.8%*.
The £123m Global Equity Income Fund invests in a diversified portfolio of global equities –which currently yields 3.19%** - therefore comfortably delivering on its aim of providing a premium yield greater than 120% of the MSCI All Country World Index. Overall, the fund aims to deliver a sustainable, rising stream of income with the possibility of capital growth over the long term.
Kevin Troup, manager of Standard Life Investments’ Global Equity Income Fund, said;
"This Fund places a strong emphasis on dividend growing stocks – on companies that not only pay dividends, but have the potential to increase their dividend year after year. This is what sets us apart from more mainstream income-paying funds, whose managers potentially screen out opportunity by only investing in stocks that pay a premium dividend. By combining these with high dividend and dividend upgrade stocks, we have been able to create an attractive income stream for our investors with the on-going potential for capital growth.
"A regular source of income is particularly attractive in a low interest rate environment. Interest in this high active share fund is also gaining traction as investors recognise the benefits of our thorough and well researched approach to global investing. I have every confidence that the outlook for this Fund is a positive one.
"Standard Life Investments’ six strong Global Equity team is at the centre of an extensive, global stock research team, covering North America, Europe, Pacific Basin, the UK and Emerging Markets.
