Putting your principles into practice
Ethical funds are a popular choice for people concerned about environmental and social issues. Investing ethically can provide the satisfaction that comes from putting personal values into practice, as well as offering the potential for financial return. The European SRI Transparency Guidelines document provides more detail on the process we follow for the management of the Standard Life Ethical Funds.
Our approach to ethical investments
We’ve long recognised the importance of providing you with a choice of funds, suited to your individual circumstances, objectives and preferences. In fact, it's now almost a decade since we launched our first ethical OEIC fund. We apply strict negative criteria to our ethical funds, so that if a company’s involved in any of the activities on our list, we won’t invest in it.
In other words, we offer you all the benefits of stock market investment while respecting your ethical principles. We’re also the only ethical fund provider to carry out an annual survey of ethical investor sentiment, since we’re keen to actively recognise and reflect your concerns.
